I have managed quite well recently as I just plant things they don't particularly like and I use a lot of repellent. I would so love to grow roses out front and on the house as that gets the most sun, but sadly, with the deer that just isn't going to happen.
Again, just lovely lovely photos!

KateKate Rhttp://www.greytabbygardens.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5800878984837762970.post-29160041097581840022015-06-17T11:39:01.407-04:002015-06-17T11:39:01.407-04:00Thank you all so much Susan, Janice, Lorraine and ...Thank you all so much Susan, Janice, Lorraine and eli for your wonderful comments! I'm unusually late in responding and I do apologize, I've had a busy time lately. Yes, that is a Spanish Needle the Julia is on - they are mostly in the preserve behind the house, but some sneak into the yard and I do let them be as they attract so many of the butterflies. But they can be rambunctious and get out of control quickly! :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13390897375295135939noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5800878984837762970.post-58277788223327358382015-06-06T15:27:18.342-04:002015-06-06T15:27:18.342-04:00Beautiful photos ~ as always. I recently gave all my orchids away (30+) and every now and then I feel bad about it. But for me I only have so much time and they were being ignored, which felt worse than giving them to a fellow gardener. ;-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5800878984837762970.post-69977394916838005962015-06-05T17:51:19.423-04:002015-06-05T17:51:19.423-04:00No need to apologize about all of those gorgeous b...No need to apologize about all of those gorgeous blooms and visitors to your gardens. I've had lots of butterflies lately, different kinds, so exciting.

It does look like your Julia is on a Spanish Needles bloom.

I'm glad I don't have to deal with deer. That would be oh so frustrating.

Have a nice weekend ~ FlowerLadyFlowerLady Lorrainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17678852154334714784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5800878984837762970.post-56027270044008469392015-06-05T17:11:37.064-04:002015-06-05T17:11:37.064-04:00

The ibis come around here and stay for hours, they enjoy going through the oak leaves and I enjoy them getting the bugs. Happy weekend.!Janicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14873027334652949566noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5800878984837762970.post-61281266311878718342015-06-05T13:58:27.529-04:002015-06-05T13:58:27.529-04:00It's fun to see what's blooming in other F...It's fun to see what's blooming in other Florida gardener's yard. It's nice to have your orchids close where you can see them and enjoy them. I'm having difficulty finding shady enough spots for mine. It will be a few years before my little trees are big enough to hang them in. Deer problems must be frustrating. How lucky to have a Julia butterfly in your garden. It looks like its on a Spanish Needle. Is that true? It seems like every butterfly and pollinator loves them. They just reseed so aggressively. I have one in my yard and I'm slowly letting up on leaving some new ones when they show up, but they make me nervous because I know they will take over. Hope you're getting rain regularly. Have a nice weekend. Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01106128705768954876noreply@blogger.com
