Everything is blooming most recklessly; if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night. (Rainer Maria Rilke)

Gardenia

I haven't been in the garden much during the hot, humid rainy season.  But, I am delighted to find that the Gardenia bush is having a second go and producing beautiful fragrant blooms!

Our computer has been acting up lately and I've had difficulty posting.   It appears I'm not able to load any more photos to this post!

The Plume, She Blooms!

Aaah, finally - the plumeria blossoms have started to open.

And they are this gorgeous, deep pink.

And they smell delightful!

Speaking of pink, this hot pink geranium is blooming nicely out back as well.

I love it's color and it holds up well in the Florida heat.

I've still got some pink impatiens left from earlier this year.  They're tucked away in a very shady spot around the pool and really brighten that area.

I absolutely adore the pink and maroon of the Ti plants.

I didn't always like them much.

But, the more that I looked at them...

The more I realized how beautiful they truly are.

The Amazing Chirpy

I realize I just posted about Chirpy, but he is truly an amazing fellow.

Here he is with one of the juvies.  Not only does he come to the window and chirp for food.

He now sits on my hand and eats seed!  I am so amazed!  This is the only shot I got because the camera click scared him and I didn't want to try again and have him permanently spooked.

So instead of another photo, I decided to paint a self-portrait commemorating Chirpy sitting on my hand in the backyard for the first time.  I, of course, took the liberty of shaving a few pounds off of myself, LOL!

It's true - I don't garden much in the humid and hot rainy season, but I do machete my way through the mossies in the backyard to check on all of the plants.  I happily discovered that the Plumeria is budding up and getting ready to bloom.

This view shows all the little bud nobbins' (not a horticultural word).   Looks like there will be quite a few beautiful blooms this year!

This photo is from last season.  It was the first year the Plumeria bloomed and it was a little skimpy.  I'm hoping for a big show this time and to hopefully get some good shots!
