Everything is blooming most recklessly; if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night. (Rainer Maria Rilke)

Welcoming March

I haven't been around much online lately.  Every once in awhile I take a break and retreat to the land of no Internet.  It doesn't last very long - but it seems to work fairly well to refresh my strained brain and well, here I am, back online again. (waving and smiling)

I'm afraid I don't really have a proper post prepared, so I'll just leave you with some images of spring.  I hope they'll make you feel - well - springy!  Here's some purslane in pink.  Love their cheery faces.

Closer shot (just because I love the pink against the different shades of green)

Pink Dahlia.  I have a feeling this may be a "pink" post...

Yeah, more pink.  But aren't these two a pretty pair!

Oh - surprise, here's some glorious white begonias.

And back to pink.  Maybe super dark, super hot pink or maybe I'd even call this maroon.  Certainly in that family, even maybe red.  Whew - whatever you want to call this color, it's truly flamboyant and a beauty.  Passiflora is one of my favorite flowers.  I wouldn't make tea out of this one though...  What? You've never had passiflora tea?  Well, it's one of my favorite teas too.

If you're thinking of trying Passiflora tea, I'd recommend getting it from a reputable source.  It's delightful!  Grassy and earthy and beautiful!  And calming....

Okay, then on to more pink.  Love this cosmos!

Whoa, that's HU-GE.  And a completely gorgeous hibiscus.

More pretty pink

Can you get any more cheerier?

And just for fun, the classic Florida lawn ornament -the plastic pink flamingo!  Hope you're getting ready for spring...it won't be long!  Have a wonderful week everyone!

Well, aren't you pretty in pink! I think Spring is already here, based on the birds' songs in the mornings. Enjoy!

I love all that pink! You have so much blooming, not much going on up here in my part of Florida. That's a gorgeous Dahlia and I'm loving that pink flamingo. _Janice

Hi Lynn, Glad to see you are back. Pink and green are my two favorite colors, so I thoroughly enjoyed all your beautiful pink flowers. It looks like your garden is bursting in color. Now, for the passionflower tea - by the way, I have a new found love for passion flowers - I've never heard of it as a tea. I'm excited to try some. Thanks for sharing that bit of information. Can't wait to try it. And, I can't end without mentioning the pink flamingo. Every Florida garden MUST HAVE a Pink flamingo. So glad to see you have one. Enjoy the beautiful days of spring!

Thanks for the delightful spring pictures! Those dahlias are just gorgeous. Your roses are perfect too. Do you know what kind they are? I love cosmos--they're just so charming and old-fashioned and carefree-seeming. Do you grow yours from seed?

Hello Lynn! What a bright and cheery post! I always love your posts and this one was a super pink one! I loved the photo of the passiflora. I really should try to research and grow more of them. I actually never knew that there was a passiflora tea! Now that sounds delicious so I shall just have to scurry off and look for some of that!
Hope you are doing well.
