Everything is blooming most recklessly; if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night. (Rainer Maria Rilke)

That Fluffy White Tree

If the Saltbush is blooming, it must be autumn in south Florida!

I think it's very showy and looks quite pretty nestled in among the roadside woodlands.  But, it does cause me some respiratory distress as all those fluffy white seeds go flying through the air, causing my asthma to act up.

Luckily, I don't see any as I look around the woods near the house, so I'm feeling thankful for that!

I've been making some more small handmade envelopes out of an old garden journal.  I've used them to send seeds to gardening friends and I have a lot of fun in the creating and decorating process.

I also use them to send tea samples out to my pen friends around the world.

Did I ever mention how much I love tea?  Well, that's a separate post that would probably go on and on and on...   Don't worry, I'll spare you :)

And since I don't have a lot going on in the garden - here's a couple of Sandhill Cranes that I thought were really cute.  This photo was taken at a marsh in the area.

I hope you're all enjoying the beautiful weather and the weekend!

We actually have saltbush in our yard and look forward to the "snow" when it starts to blow off.

Your header is stunning! You must have some great camera to be able to get those close-ups. ~Envy~

Enjoy your weekend. It has been so pleasant lately, I'm eatin' it up!

I don't remember ever seeing saltbush before. Maybe it isn't this far south.

Love your header picture and the cranes are wonderful.

I just participated in a teacup/ mug exchange. I wanted a mug and got one covered in lovely pink/red roses, along with some teas and other goodies I will show and tell about the first part of November.

Teas are nice in the afternoon during fall/winter/spring for me. Too hot for the summer months. :-)

Have a lovely weekend ~ FlowerLady

That Saltbush is beautiful! We don't have them around here. I love the idea of using those pages to make seed packs. That's a great idea and I love the way they look. I need to step it up a notch. I give seeds away in snack size baggies. Yours look MUCH nicer. Thanks for the idea. Enjoy the nice weather we're having.

Your photos are always gorgeous! In particular, I like the Sandhill Crane all ruffled up. I'm a fan of hot tea too, but except for a couple of teas I buy in sachets, mine usually come straight out of a 'bag with a tag'. Anyway, a sit down with a nice cup of tea solves a lot of small problems. Take care_Janice
